Talk and Tea: Turner as Inspiration

Tuesday, 13 January 2026
About this event
Since their bequest by Henry Vaughan in 1901, Turner’s beautiful watercolours have been displayed every January here at the Gallery. The works offer visitors a rare chance to witness the artist’s evolving vision — from tranquil English parklands to the atmospheric drama of Venice and the Alps. This year’s exhibition is further enriched by the inclusion of additional works by artists who found inspiration in Turner’s mastery of light, colour, and atmosphere.
The talk will take place in the Education studio and will include tea/coffee biscuits and plenty of chat!
The Education Studio is on level 1 of the Gallery and is fully accessible by lift from the Clare Street Entrance. It is at the same level as the Merrion Square Entrance.
Readers are advised to check with the venue before relying on the details published here.
